The BIG Reveal!

Yesterday Joel & I worked all morning to complete the baseboards and trim in the nursery & our bedroom. Joel installed and I caulked & painted. I couldn't quite keep up with him, so I will have some more work to do later...But, we did complete the nursery. The only project left in this room are window sills (but they are hidden by the curtains, so they aren't a big deal...)

Our friends, Jason & Krista came over yesterday afternoon and helped us out a TON. The guys put together the crib & my chair and hauled all the baby gear downstairs. Krista & ironed and hung the curtains and started putting everything away. We are so grateful for their help and we LOVE the room! It is awesome!

We felt like we were "loading in" the room on Trading Spaces. It was lots of fun because I had all the stuff and we just had to set it up! I'm pretty tired today--doesn't help it was my first day back to work. I am in absolute disbelief that it's actually done--I never thought this day would come!

Here it is...

We were really close to being done, and we really liked what we had so far, but this wall really needed something above the picture & horseshoes. So, Jason suggested going a bit "Cowboy & Indian" and said we needed some arrows. Ironically, we actually had some (who has arrows??). I really like the way it looks!

Congratulations! The room looks great and I'm sure it must be a relief! I can't believe that you are just 17 days away from your due date. In case you go early and I don't see you before then...Good Luck! L & D is so empowering!

What a BEAUTIFUL job. And what a tremendous blessing to have friends to come and help you with the work! And to get it finished before the baby comes. I never got our nursery set up before our first baby, he came 6 weeks early. So we left the hospital and went to Walmart. It would've been more joyful to come home to something that was already prepared.

Sarah, the room looks amazing! I love the cowboy decor. You have your mom's gift of decorating. The curtains are so cute! I can't wait to see it in person. I'm so glad you're using the crib! Julie

VERY cute room - congratulations for getting it all done. It seems like MAYBE 15 years ago that I was painting clouds on the ceiling. Instead, its been 28 years. Enjoy these precious days - they fly past faster than you think! Love, Aunt Jan

Nice work! I have to agree, WHO HAS ARROWS JUST SITTING AROUND THE HOUSE? Now you can relax and wait for your bundle of joy to arrive!
Jodi & I are coming to Denver at the end of the month, we hope to stop in and say Hi to the new parents and Baby J! Have fun and best wishes for an easy labor!
