1. It is much more cost-effective to purchase a membership to the zoo. We will be doing that very soon!

Another new arrival--the baby giraffe.There were two of them just running and jumping and playing around. Too cute.
It was Anders' first time seeing wild beasts other than Haiku. We had a great time. He spent some time in the Baby Bjorn, some time in the stroller and some time sleeping in the stroller. Sadly, his one arm and cheeks got a bit pink from the sun. I went and purchased baby sunscreen immediately following our return from the zoo! Here are some pictures of us having fun at the zoo!

Despite the look on Joel's face, we really had a a great time at the zoo. You can kind of see in this picture--I got my hair cut again yesterday. Every time it's just a wee bit shorter...

Love the hair! And zoo passes are worth it if you have a little one and the zoo isn't too far away. Also, many passes can get you into other zoo's around the country for either free or half price. We had a zoo pass even before we had kids and now it's a must. One of our favorite things to do is go to the zoo and with a pass you if only stay a couple of hours it's okay. Our zoo has zoo lights which our pass lets us into and we can also take a guest for free.

I looked again at the picture of Rhonda and Joel and it was like a time warp picture of our dad and Rhonda. I am not sure if he would have gone for the orange sunglasses though. Joel it's amazing how much you look like a very skinny daddy especially with the beard!
